Hacienda CDC | Hacienda CDC opens three free Portland-area learning and innovation centers

As the communications for the Verizon Community Learning Centers, a partnership between Hacienda CDC and Verizon, I successfully led the marketing strategy for the launch of three new learning centers in Portland, one of only four cities chosen nationwide. 

In addition to the media outreach and social media engagement, I also provided key support for the successful grand opening events of the learning centers. Working collaboratively with Verizon and Hacienda CDC teams, I developed and executed a comprehensive event plan that included invitations to key stakeholders, event programming, and media outreach. The grand opening events were a huge success and generated significant interest from the community, resulting in increased enrollment and support for the learning centers.

My efforts in promoting the learning centers resulted in local press mentions and the implemented strategy has been adopted by Verizon for future nationwide learning center promotions. I also created compelling content to engage our audience on social media and community flyering, resulting in increased engagement and awareness of the learning centers in the community.
